Buffalo Bisons To Host Hunter's Hope Night

August 24, 2012 Updated Aug 24, 2012 at 10:35 AM EDT

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW/Release) - The Buffalo Bisons and the Hunter's Hope Foundation announce Hunter's Hope Night with the Bisons at Coca-Cola Field on Friday, August 24th, 2012 during the team's 7:05 P.M. game against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.

Hunter's Hope Night with the Bisons at Coca-Cola Field is a partnership between Hunter's Hope and the Bisons to raise funds for, while also increasing awareness about the Foundation's mission.

Hunter's Hope funds research to find treatments and a cure for Krabbe and other Leukodystrophies, advocates for Expanded & Universal Newborn Screening, and provides support to children and families affected by these horrible diseases.

"The Bisons are finishing their 2012 season, and the Bills are starting theirs," said former Buffalo Bills Quarterback and Hunter's Hope Founder, Jim Kelly.

"But children afflicted with these horrible diseases don't get an off-season. That is why we need to continue to fight hard to find treatments and a cure for Krabbe and diseases like it, and increase newborn screening standards, so one day, no child has to suffer like my son Hunter did."

Coca-Cola Field gates will open at 5:00 P.M. for the 7:05 P.M. game start time on August 24th, 2012. The evening will include an autograph session with Jim Kelly, the chance to go on the field to catch a football toss from Kelly between innings, a silent auction with collectibles from Hunter's Hope and the Buffalo Bisons, and more.

Starting at 5:00 P.M., the fridaynightbash!® featuring live entertainment in the seating area, BisonsHD Video Board, and a signing with Jim Kelly at 6:15 P.M. Post-game activities will include a fireworks show.
