BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) A source close to the sale of the Buffalo Bills confirms with Eyewitness News today the team has released their “sale book” to potential buyers.

The release of the book means the Buffalo Bills are officially for sale and on the market.

The financial book was released this morning through a virtual data room, and includes pertinent financial information when it comes to the sale of the team.

It is unclear to this point if the sale book contains information for potential owners on moving the Buffalo Bills.

"It's typically only sent out to those parties they think would be qualified to purchase the team," said Marc Ganis, President of SportsCorp. "This is an important milestone, but there are more to come."

This news comes one day after Sabres Owner Terry Pegula hired sports business managing director Steve Greenberg to represent the Pegula’s in their possible interest in the Buffalo Bills.

The financial document is essentially like a real-estate listing. It's the Bills way of putting the team officially on the market.

"It would have quite a few graphs and charts in it," Ganis said. "It would describe the local situation which includes the stadium situation and the lease, the demographics, the market, where the strengths are."

Sources close to the sale tell us the process is expected to move quickly from here.
