BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown and his challenger in tonight's Democratic Primary, Bernie Tolbert, voted early this morning.

Brown and his wife voted at Canisius College at 9 a.m.

Mayor Brown said he is confident of a win, especially since a recent poll by Sienna College shows him far ahead of his opponent.

"I work hard every single day. My focus is on the people of Buffalo, the voters of Buffalo. Regardless of poll results, we are out every single day, all day working to get our message out about the progress that we've been able to accomplish," Brown said.

Tolbert voted at 6:30 a.m. at University Presbyterian Church on Main Street.

"Based on what I've heard, based on the conversations that I've had with voters as I've walked across the various election districts, I'm confident that people are looking for a change. I'm very confident," said Tolbert.

The polls close at 9 p.m. tonight. Watch Eyewitness News at 11:00 for Primary Election results.
