Body Pulled from the Niagara River in Tonawanda

Tonawanda City Police are investigating a body that was found in Niawanda Park.

Police were called to the area of Niagara and Franklin Streets around 1:30 on Saturday afternoon. Rescue crews pulled the body out of the river and took it away by ambulance. It's the body of a black or Hispanic man, about 5' 6" to 5' 8" tall, 160 pounds, with short black neatly trimmed hair, a thin moustache and goatee. He was wearing a white dress shirt and black shoes.

He was found without any identification. Police are now working to identify the man. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tonawanda City Police at (716) 692-2121.
