Buffalo (WKBW):

Thanksgiving takes on a new meaning this year. No longer do families focus solely on the feast, they've set their sights on a plate full of day early deals. Some have even started calling this 'Brown Thursday.' It's a day dedicated to the bargains shoppers typically only see on Black Friday, but not this year.

Retail giants like Kmart, Macys, Best Buy, Kohls, Target, Walmart and many others decided to open doors starting on Thanksgiving day and carry sales into Friday. Even Apple joined in on the day early deals. Kmart has advertised Thursday bargains for years, but for the first time, its staying open for nearly 24-hours. The Kmart on Hertel Avenue opened up to customers at 6:00 a.m., with customers arriving as early as 1 o'clock this morning.

It's expected that nearly 140-million shoppers will grab their carts and go for the sales.
