According to data from the National Center for Health Statistics, the U.S. teen birth rate reached historic low levels in 2010.
According to a report overview from the NCHS:
The teen birth rate declined nine percent from 2009 to 2010, to an all-time low of 34.3 births per 1,000 women aged 15-19, according to the report. The report also fewer babies were born to teens in 2010 than any year since 1946.
