LANDOVER, MD (WKBW) - The Bills offense fell flat on the road in their 30-7 loss to the Washington Redskins Saturday, while the defense struggled to stop the Redskins offense who put up more than 450 yards in total offense.

Third-string quarterback Jeff Teul played 3 quarters against Washington after starter Kevin Kolb left the game with concussion like symptoms after taking a knee to the head after a scramble early in the first quarter.

The Bills only score came on a two-yard TD run by C.J. Spiller, who came up limping after the play. The injury was not serious and Spiller did return to finish with 8 rushes for 39 yards and the score.

Wide receiver Stevie Johnson made his preseason debut for the Bills coming off a hamstring injury. Johnson caught four balls for 28 yards on a day where the offense had trouble getting anything going.

The team failed to get a first down the entire second half and went a dismal 2 for 13 on third downs, putting up just 155 total yards of offense and turning the ball over twice.

Jeff Tuel went 10 for 17 for 63 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

On defense, the team gave up 208 yards on the ground including two scores and 244 yards through the air with one touchdown.

Second year cornerback Stephon Gilmore left the game with a hand injury and safety Da'Norris Searcy left the game with a head injury.

The Bills close out the preseason at home on Thursday when they host the Detroit Lions.
