ORCHARD PARK, NY (WKBW-TV) - The Buffalo Bills announce they have sold over 46,000 season ticket packages for the upcoming season. Marc Honan, Bills Chief Marketing Officer, says this is the most since the 2009 season and the team will continue to sell season ticket packages until kickoff on the teams home opener.
The Bills also announced they are changing their philosophy when announcing a sellout.
Starting this season the team will no longer announce a game is sold out prior to 72 hours before kickoff. Honan says this changes comes after they noticed secondary ticket markets would significantly increase after the team announced a sellout.
As for individual tickets, Honan says sales are going very well for the home games against Miami, San Diego, New England, Minnesota and Green Bay. He also said significant inventory remains for the games against Kansas City, New York Jets and Cleveland.
