Fisher-Price's Little People have been around a long time. They were born in 1959. Now they're getting big makeovers and new personalities! That's the focus of a report in today's Business First. The toy characters are designed at Fisher-Price's East Aurora headquarters. Research shows that moms like the brand a lot, but moms and children didn't know the names and personalities of Little People. So the five main characters are now getting a modern look. Other little people are also due for future makeovers. Promotions could include film production and branded items like toothbrushes, apparel or bed sheets.

Buffalo tech company Synacor has seen plenty of ups and downs. That's the focus of a report in today's Business First. The company is headquartered on Buffalo's waterfront. Company officials say they are positioning themselves for the long term and they have great hope for products like TV Everywhere, which allows customers to offer streaming TV service.
