BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Best-selling author Tom Clancy, whose novels have turned into movies and even video games, died today in a Baltimore hospital. He was 66.
Clancy's fast-paced military thrillers translated into blockbuster gold. He was launched onto the best-seller list thanks in part to President Ronald Reagan, who said he couldn't put The Hunt For Red October down.
Clancy is survived by his widow, former Channel 7 reporter Alex Llewellyn.
