Ballot Typo Leads to Wrong Man Being Elected

November 23, 2011 Updated Nov 23, 2011 at 6:56 PM EDT

According to the Connecticut Post, a typo on an election ballot in Derby, Conn. led to the wrong man being elected to the town's Board of Apportionment and Taxation.

A son with the same name of the man nominated by the Democratic Town Committee wound up being elected after his middle initial -- and not his father's -- appeared on the ballot, according to the Connecticut Post. A meeting is scheduled for Friday to sort things out, according to the story.
