(Barre, NY) A balloon that was part of a memorial launch in Marion, Indiana has made its way to the Town of Barre in Orleans County.

91-year old Helen Mathes spotted the deflated balloon and called the telephone number printed on a note card.

"I had no idea that it would travel that far," says Suzie Mack, of Marion, Indiana.

On Saturday November 5th, 300 people launched the balloons from Indiana in memory of Jimmy Mack.

The 22-year old indianapolis University college student was shot to death in October 2007.

"I want the world to know that I love my son with all my heart," says Suzie Mack.

"I'm so thankful that I got the opportunity to tell my child before he died . . . that evening, I told him that I loved him"

The mylar balloon contained a picture of Jimmy Mack and a message "Tell your kids that you love them."

It is estimated that the balloon floated for over 500 miles before landing in the Town of Barre.
