According to the Albany (Ga.) Herald, the city of Albany has collected almost $4,000 in fines since enacting a ban on saggy pants last November.
The Herald report says 187 citations have been issued for violating the ordinance. According to the story, first offenders pay a fine of $25, with subsequent offenses going up to $200.
The ordinance bans pants or skirts from being worn more than three inches below the top of the hips, exposing skin or undergarments, according to the Herald story.
