CHAFFEE, N.Y. ( WKBW ) In January, Earl's Restaurant on Route 16 in Chaffee closed it's doors for good.
On Wednesday April 4th, owner Earl Northrup put his assets, including restaurant equipment, furniture, and decor up for public auction.
Earl's opened in 1956 as a hotdog stand.
The restaurant served up homemade breakfasts, lunches, and dinners for decades.
Earl's was a favorite stop for many hunters, and people driving to the Southern Tier.
