(Buffalo, N.Y.) Thursday night, the Buffalo Fire Department had its hands full. Within a two hour period, crews had to battle three major house fires.

The first one broke out in a vacant 2 1/2 story house at 124 Playter Street, Buffalo around 9:30pm.

Crews were just wrapping up on Playter Street, when calls of a vacant house fire at 480 Peckham Street, Buffalo came in around 10:30pm. Firefighters at the Peckham location faced heavy fire conditions and thick smoke.

Then just a little past 11pm, a third fire erupted in a 2 1/2 story home at 839 South Division Street, Buffalo. Flames quickly engulfed the house causing massive damage.

All fires occurred in Buffalo's East Side neighborhood.

The Buffalo Fire Marshals office is now confirming that the fires on Playter Street and Peckham Street were caused by an arsonist.

The South Division Street fire is still under investigation.

There were no injuries reported at any of the fire scenes.
