BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) Two men are facing Federal charges, accused of firebombing a Buffalo home earlier in November.

Avery Ray and William Lovell Smith are charged with federal weapons possession.

The homeowner believes he was targeted by drug dealers because of efforts to rid the neighborhood of drugs and crime.

In a news conference, homeowner Kene Bleu said, "I think it's a cowardly act coming to someones home in the middle of the night knowing my extended family is here. When you spark someones house up you don't know who is going to live and who is going to die."

United States Attorney William Hochul added, "The criminals should know they will not succeed in their attempts to intimidate block club members, members of the community, or any potential witnesses to crime."

Nobody was hurt in the fire. The suspects are behind held without bail as of this posting.
