Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Police have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Dominique Maye. Maye was shot and killed in September while working on homework inside her Hewitt Avenue home. Detectives say more than a dozen shots were fired toward the house from an assault rifle. Wednesday, Buffalo Police Detectives arrested 24-year-old Kevin Davis II and charged him with 2nd Degree Murder. Maye was a student at Riverside High School.

"You had a 15-year-old girl doing her homework, bothering no one with a future who's now gone. Totally senseless (murder)," said Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda.

Buffalo Police say tips from the public and good police work led to the arrest of Davis. He remains behind bars until his next court appearance which is scheduled for next week.
