Amherst police responded early Wednesday morning to M & M Refining gold and jewelry store in the 6800 block of Main Street in Amherst for a bold robbery.

Police came to the aid of the owner there after 2 men allegedly tied him up with duct tape at gunpoint before fleeing with an undetermined amount of cash.

The men are described as being African American, wearing dark clothing, one is 6 foot tall and the other 5 ft. 9.

They apparently entered the store, left, then came back with a gun when they tied up the employees and held up the business.

They were last seen headed eastbound on Main Street toward Transit.

Amherst Police are on the scene, and are asking for your help. Anyone with any information is asked to call 689-1311.
