An 86-year-old Arizona man had his head impaled by a pair of pruning shears during a gardening accident in late July, according to the Arizona Daily Star.
According to the story, the man dropped the shears, which landed on the ground point-side down, and fell face down on the handle when he bent down to pick them up. Part of the handle of the shears when through the man's eye socket and down his throat.
Doctors were able to remove the shears and save the man's eye, according to the report.
