CHEEKTOWAGA, NY (WKBW) - People waited in line across the globe Thursday to get their hands on the new Apple iPhone 5. At the Apple Store in Cheektowaga inside the Walden Galleria, close to 200 people lined the outside of the store in hopes of grabbing the new gadget.
"I had to have it and couldn't wait any longer," said Chris Cappuccilli, who waiting in line for close to 8 hours for the phone. "I've been reading about it online and just needed to get my hands on it."
"This is my very first iPhone, so I'm pretty excited," boasted Bree Wojnar of Grand Island.
Some users have expressed frustration over some new features on the latest iPhone, including inaccuracies with Apple Maps and the requirement of a new charger. Despite some disapproval, Apple says it already sold more than 2 million phones in pre-sales.
