TOWN OF OAKFIELD, NY (WKBW) -- There are tire marks and debris from the crash on Judge Road/Route 63 near Hutton Road. Loved ones of Justin Dickes can't understand why the 21 year old lost his life in a motorcycle crash Thursday. "It's just crazy, I saw him... when I left for work, he was parking his bike actually in my garage," Ashley Webster said of the last moments with her dear friend Justin just hours before the crash. "A short life lived and he lived it well. His fiance loves him... we love him... we're family and we miss everything about him, and he was a great godfather to my kids."

Justin was driving eastbound on Route 63 just before noon on Thursday when he tried to pass a van in front of him. "While he went to make his pass that vehicle was turing left into a private driveway and there was the collision," Sergeant Greg Walker, with the Genesee County Sheriff's Department, said.

Justin hit the car and was thrown into the air. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The crash happened right after Justin left the funeral of his good friend Josh Durham, who is one of three people killed in a car crash just last weekend, five miles away. "The victim had just left the funeral for the triple fatal we had this weekend. He was... assuming, on his way home," Sergeant Walker said.

Justin lived a mile away from where he crashed. He grew up in the Town of Oakfield and graduated from Oakfield Alabama High School. His friends say he had just bought that new motorcycle he was riding on Thursday.

The driver of the van was not injured in the crash. Sheriff deputies confirm the driver of the van and the victim were related.

Officials are investigating the crash and say while speeding was most likely a factor, there's no indication of any alcohol.
