North Tonawanda, NY (WKBW) - A woman who friends say worked as an adult film star is behind bars, accused of murdering her boyfriend in North Tonawanda.
23-year-old Jennifer Marchant has pleaded not guilty to second degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Ralph Stone.
Friends say the suspect starred in adult films, and bragged on Facebook about her boyfriend -- the man she is accused of stabbing with a kitchen knife.
Ralph's mother, Michelle Stone, cannot believe her son is gone. Michelle says "to know him was to love him. He was just a fun loving kid with a really big heart."
Police say Marchant stabbed Ralph to death in her apartment on Oliver Street in North Tonawanda on Wednesday night.
She says Ralph was the doting father of a two-year-old little girl.
"He was a wonderful father," Ralph's mother says. "He worshipped his daughter. She was premature and he was there all the time."
After a recent rough patch, Ralph was about to go to UB Law School.
"Everything was turning around positive for him," Michelle says. "We were very proud of him."
Wednesday night, police responded to a call for a domestic disturbance at 580 Oliver Street, where Marchant lives.
Friends say Marchant worked as an adult film entertainer, making films as recently as a year ago. A twitter account under her stage name, Scarlett Rouge, says she retired last year.
Friends say Marchant often wrote about Ralph on Facebook.
His mother says the couple "had a few spats, but every relationship does. But as far as I know, they got along well."
Michelle adds "she came with him for Christmas. She seemed like a real nice girl."
Police are not providing a motive, but add they have talked to Marchant. It's not clear if she confessed.
During arraignment, Marchant was remanded without bail.
Her next court date is February 11th.
