BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) The U.S. Attorney's office has charged a ninth member of the "Bailey Boys" gang for violent attacks, this time stemming from a December 2010 drive-by shooting.
Derrick Ramos, 22, of Buffalo, is charged with committing a violent crime in aid of a racketeering enterprise and using and discharging a firearm in furtherance of that crime. Ramos faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
According to the Complaint against him, Ramos is charged as one of the gunmen in a drive-by shooting on December 30, 2010. Philip "Skateboard" Brown and a second unidentified victim were wounded in the attack on Broadway and Sears Street on Buffalo's east side. Ramos is accused of locating the victims identifying them as rival gang members.
The investigation into the Bailey Boys Gang is ongoing. One accused member has already been convicted, and eight others have been arrested.
