NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) 26-year old Christopher Syracuse was arraigned in North Tonawanda City Court Wednesday morning on multiple charges connected to a series of arsons.
Syracuse is now facing 11 felony and 4 misdemeanor counts after police say he drove around the North Tonawanda area setting fires to buildings and vehicles late Monday and early Tuesday morning.
Security video that was broadcast on the news helped police gather several tips that resulted in Syracuse's arrest.
North Tonawanda Police Chief William Hall told reporters that Syracuse confessed to setting the fires.
Syracuse was ordered held without bail and will return to court on Thursday for an attorney appearance.
Additional charges are pending from the City of Tonawanda.
