AMHERST, NY ( release ) Saturday morning at approximately 1:44am, a single vehicle serious injury accident occurred on Red Oak Drive, west of Hopkins, in the Town of Amherst.
A 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound on Red Oak Drive, when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver, Louis Callari, a 21 year old male from Amherst, was extricated from the vehicle by members of the Getzville Fire Department.
Louis Callari was transported to Millard Suburban Hospital and then transferred and admitted to ECMC. He is listed in critical condition.
Lt. John Olesko, and Senior Investigators Kevin Murphy, Bob McMahon, and Kevin Maria of the Amherst Police Accident Investigation Unit investigated the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
