CLARENCE, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Clarence man suffered a serious leg injury following a motor vehicle accident early Friday morning.
Police say at approximately 2:09 a.m. the Amherst Police responded to the area of Main Street and Spindrift Dr. for a report of an injury accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.
31-year-old Joshua Karczewski was operating a 2008 Yamaha E/B on Main Street and was struck by a 2002 Lincoln LS driven by 48-year-old Patrick Burke, of Buffalo, who failed to yield the right of way at the intersection.
Karczewski suffered a serious leg injury and was transported to ECMC.
Burke was charged with DWI, Vehicular Assault, and Failure To Yield Right of Way.
The continuing investigation is being conducted by Amherst Police.
