Dunkirk, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Fed Ex deliveryman left packages on the porch of a home in Dunkirk, then thieves took off with the packages.

According to the Dunkirk Observer, Lisa Aggen put a letter on her front door, addressing the suspect, calling the person a Grinch. The letter tells the person they should be ashamed of themselves.

Aggen real beef is with Fed Ex. She said they did not even knocked on the door when the packages were delivered. Here husband was home but never informed of the delivery.

This is not the first time case of its kind. Similar reports have been filed all across the country this holiday season. Police said, in some cases, the crooks are following delivery trucks and then making their move once packages are delivered.

Many people have already ordered their gifts but there are ways that you can be sure they won't be stolen. First, go online and check the packages delivery status so you can try to be home when it arrives. If you can't be home, leave a note asking the delivery person to leave the package with a neighbor or someone you can trust. The delivery people can also hold the package for customer pick-up.

Aggen, who had the run-in with the Grinch, ordered several gifts, including a stereo radio for her won with Cerebral Palsy. She has filed a complaint against Fed Ex and the company that sends the gifts. It's unclear if she will be reimbursed.
