Cambria, N.Y--The Niagara County Sheriff’s office received a complaint of possible methamphetamine being produced in the residence at 4890 Saunders Settlement Road.
Deputy Ray Tracy and Investigators from the Niagara County Drug Task Force did observe what they believed to be items commonly used for the making of methamphetamine and a lab located close to the furnace of the residence.
New York State Police was contacted with request for the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT) to respond.
The CCSERT conducted decontamination of the lab and secured all hazardous materials for safe disposal.
Leah McCabe, 34, of Cambria was charged with unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree.
McCabe was arraigned in Cambria Town Court and bail was set at $10,000.
The investigation is continuing and further charges are pending.
