9-Year-Old Girl Facing Felony Charges Stemming from School Bus Incident

According to the Lee County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office, a 9-year-old Florida girl is facing felony charges stemming from a Monday incident during which she allegedly spit at school staff members, threw chunks of asphalt at a school bus and threw a metal chair at a police officer.

According to the Sheriff's Office news release, the girl is charged with battery on a public school employee, throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle, battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting with violence.
