"Curtain Up!" At Former Studio Arena Theater

BUFFALO, N.Y. ( WKBW ) The old Studio Arena Theater is now called the "710 Main Theater," named in honor of the address is has at Main and Tupper Streets in the heart of Buffalo's theater district.

After being closed for several years, the 600 seat venue is about to open with some great shows.

The two shows scheduled that will grace the stage this fall are sure to be hits.

"Seth's Big Fat Broadway Show" will entertain the "Curtain Up!" crowd on Friday September 14th. The show opens at 8p.m.

Next, classic actor John Lithgow will bring his one man show, "Stories By Heart" for a three day run beginning September 21st.

Ross Eckert, Chair of 710 Main joined Tony Conte, the President of Shea's Performing Arts Center recently to share in the excitement of the new presentations. Both expressed their excitement that the legendary theater will be open once again, and that producers from across the country have expressed interest in bringing their productions to Buffalo.

Officials are also looking to secure funds to help the theater with naming rights.
