Forty-nine graduates from Erie Community College's 124th Law Enforcement Training Academy are now ready to head out onto the force.
The Buffalo Police Department will add 16 grads, three are future sheriff's deputies, and the remaining class members will join suburban police departments.
Many of these graduates are no strangers to service; twelve of the future officers are veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.
