43North is a global business competition that awards $5 million in overall prizes to entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and a desire to start their business in Buffalo.
ACV Auctions is a Buffalo based company that won the 2015 competition. Aside form the top prize of $1 million the winner also gets space at the 43North incubator on the Buffalo Niagara Medical campus, mentorship and tax breaks.
Since the competition started three years ago which is part of Governor Cuomo's Buffalo Billion there's been 15 winners.
The early-bird submission deadline is March 31st and the final deadline is May 31st. semifinals will be held during the summer and u to 20 companies will pitch their ideas in October to a panel of judges.
