Niagara County Sheriff's investigators are looking closer at what caused a driver to hit and kill a man, walking in the street.
Deputies were called to an area near 6647 Ridge Road, about 11:10 p.m. Thursday. They say the 25-year-old driver, Kara Lynn McDonald, hit the man in the westbound lane with her car.
33-year-old David McCollum died at the scene.
McDonald was taken to ENH Lockport. She hurt her wrist. Police are charging her with Driving while Ability Impaired by Drugs. Deputies say the investigation is on-going.
