Serious Car Crash

By Jim Herr

The Buffalo Police Accident Investigation Unit is looking into a serious crash, which has claimed the life of a Buffalo man.

The Erie County Medical Center confirming the death of 23-year-old Timothy Borden of Eden Street. Borden died late Saturday from injuries he suffered after crashing his 2008 Chevy Blazer into a building at 1198 Jefferson Avenue near Northampton Street early Saturday morning.

The crash so violent, Buffalo Firefighters who are stationed at the Jefferson Avenue firehouse a block away, apparently heard the accident and quickly responded to assist the driver.

It appears that Borden was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The official cause of the crash remains under investigation.
