Suspected Arson Fires In Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) Three separate fires kept Buffalo firefighters busy Thursday night into Friday morning.

The first fire broke out in a vacant home on Playter Street on the east side of the city around 10p.m. Thursday night.

There are no reports of any injuries with this fire.

Another fire then broke out on Peckham Street. Battalion Chief Mike Biasillo told Eyewitness News it was an extremely dangerous situation. That fire went to two alarms.

Investigators suspect arson in both of these fires. An investigation is ongoing.

Then around 11:00p.m. flames shot into the sky as a house caught fire on South Division Street. When firefighters arrived they found two cars in the driveway, but nobody was inside the home.

Battalion Chief Mike Swanekamb told Eyewitness News that the fire was, "really rolling." The house there is a total loss.
