BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) It was a family’s worst nightmare. After taking a dream vacation in Costa Rica last month, the Binders came home to their house destroyed.
“Vomit, urine and feces…all…over,” said Kristen Segebarth. “There were used condoms too.”
The Binders had put their home in the hands of a long-time family friend. The girl was instructed to take care of the family’s seven cats. The last night of their vacation, the cat-sitter threw a raging party.
The Binders came home to find their house destroyed, family heirlooms stolen, and six-thousand-dollars worth of cash taken.
“It goes on, and on, and on,” said Kristen. “Things that they could put in their pockets they took.”
Anxious to find out what happened to their home, the family took to social media. They found a ton of tweets and photos from the party, as well as video evidence.
“The video shows people pushing plants over on the floor…then it records someone who is urinating on what they think is our daughters bed,” said Segebarth.
The Binders have spent over a month cleaning up the mess, and they say they still find more.
Tonight, they are speaking out to tell their story, hopeing that the students come forward.
“We raise our kids to be accountable and responsible,” said Kristen. “What I’ve seen in the last month is anything but accountability and responsibility on anyone’s part.”
