BUFFALO NY (WKBW) -- Police continue to investigate the bizarre traffic accident that killed a young construction worker on the Niagara section of the Thruway near downtown Buffalo early Tuesday morning. 27 year old David Baldi of Hamburg was working the last 45 minutes of his shift along the highway when a propane truck swerved into his work area. David was killed instantly. A co-worker, Timothy Brown of Cherry Creek, was injured and taken to the hospital. Also injured was the driver of the propane truck and a passenger.

David's family says a wake will be held Thursday from 4pm to 8pm at Lombardo Funeral Home on Abbott Road, and funeral services on Friday at 10am at Our Lady of Sacred Heart.

David Baldi loved music and regularly played locally in his band called State Dependent Learning. He graduated from Frontier High School, went to Erie Community College, then a recording school in Florida. His latest job was working for Accent Stripe Construction.
