According to a new Nielsen Mobile report U.S.cell phone owners are opting more for a Smartphone than a "dumb" one.
According to the report Smartphone users make up 50 percent of the US mobile phone market. That’s up 36 percent from a year ago.
Taking a look at the operating system running on the Smartphone’s we learn that 48 percent of buyers went with Android, 43 percent landed iOS a close second and five percent helped RIM scrape the bottom of the barrel with the remaining four percent listed as "other. That’s only a slight change from January’s numbers which had 51.7 percent of folks going with Android, while 38 percent went for an Apple product.
