BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Bust-out your bibs and napkins as the 11th Annual National Buffalo Wing Festival is in full swing downtown.

Channel 7 was there, and we have the story on day-one of the festivities.

The annual Buffalo Wing Fest, which was born out of a fictional wing festival from a Hollywood movie, enters it's second decade this year.

It continues to grow, bringing visitors from all over to experience one of the things Buffalo does best, the Chicken Wing!

And at the Wing-Fest, you can have them pretty much any way you like. Then there's the specialty flavors.

If you don't want to get saucy hands, you can even get it in soup form.

In an amateur chicken-wing eating contest, these guys however, couldn't help but make a mess. The winner downed nearly four pounds of wings in just 10 minutes.

Some Buffalo Bills got int he action. Offensive Linemen Eric Wood and Andy Levitre took part in a friendly wing Eat-Off to raise money for charity.

The winner, Levitre by about seven wings!

The competition raised hundreds of dollars for the Food Bank of Western NY.

And if the Wing isn't your thing, there is still plenty to do. You can watch someone sing, like the King!

Wing Fest continues tomorrow Noon to 7 P.M. and will included the U.S. Chicken Wing eating championship to be held on the main stage.
