CLARENCE, N.Y. (WKBW) - The Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation announced today the restoration of 11 school clubs cut after the town rejected a 9.8 percent tax increase this summer.
Residents in Clarence voted in favor of a budget with smaller increases and $2.5 million in cuts.
The CSEF will be handing the Clarence Central School Board a $32,000 check to reinstate six high school clubs, four middle school clubs, and one middle school sport.
The check is part of the CSEF's $200,000 restoration initiative, which was launched when the budget failed and the district board eliminated 60 extracurricular activities.
The $32,000 check is scheduled to be handed over tonight at 7 p.m.
