Buffalo will welcome 1,000 collegiate competitors to town for the NCAA Men's and Women's Cross Country Regional Championships in November 2017.
The announcement was made at a press conference Tuesday morning at the Amherst Audubon Golf Course on maple road, which is one of the competition sites.
The DII Championship will be held on November 4, 2017 and the DI Championship will take place on November 10.
It will be the first time the Buffalo region held the championships since 2011. The competition is expected to bring in an estimated $1.4 million.
