1000 Pound Pumpkin Drop Welcomes Fall Season

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Smashing pumpkins in an annual Halloween prank pulled by teens everywhere. That tradition, however, was taken to a whole new level Monday afternoon in Clarence.

The folks at the Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence dropped a 1,000 pound pumpkin from 100 feet in the air, essentially signaling in the arrival of the Halloween season at the Clarence destination.

But aside from just smashing a 1,000 pound pumpkin into 1,000 tiny pieces, the Pumpkin Farm has all sorts of pumpkin-themed activities for families to enjoy.
