BUFFALO, N.Y. ( WKBW ) A community meeting Wednesday at the Frank E. Merriweather Library in Buffalo gave residents a chance to ask tough questions of Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard, and his Holding Center staff.
The event was sponsored by the "100 Black Men of Buffalo" organization allegations that inmates are being treated poorly continue to make news.
The condition of the jail was also under fire in what was a heated and honest meeting.
James Payne, President of the 100 Black Men of Greater Buffalo thought the questions were superb, while Sheriff Timothy Howard commented that those in attendance were entitled to their own opinions.
The Sheriff noted that all complaints will be investigated.
