Well, it's over..for now. Can we cease the "automatic calls", the full-color brochures arriving in the mail everyday..the signs on every street corner? Incredible that Carl Paladino won as big as he did. It REALLY implies how the average voter is fed-up with politics in general. Good for the voter! Hopefully the passion for representation in this area will continue ..can you imagine a governor from WNY??? What a way for downstate to wake up! However, the voting process was harder than it should have been for many, me included. My name wasn't in the rolls! I had just voted at that location in Cheektowaga for president and I still have my board of elections card with my name on it. How does this happen? People were having a hard time through the whole process. Many said it wasn't "private" enough. Since I had to vote with an "affidavit"..I can tell you..that ballot was printed in such small type..I got a headache trying to read it! I think more changes are needed to make this a more effortless process. My question, what happens to your ballot after it's scanned? Your name is on it plus your checked candidates, right? So there's a way for anyone to see who you voted for if they wanted to? Why wasn't this publicized before election day? Now I have to call the Board of Elections and make sure I'm on the rolls for the November elections..wish me luck!..Congrats to all the winners..and especially the voters!..Linda P.
