Hello all! Hope you're staying dry! (Hey at least it's not snowing, yet). Earlier this week, my son was home from college for Columbus Day. He was sick with a cold so my hubby made him homemade chicken soup. It was the first time in a while that we actually "warmed up the house" from the kitchen with soup on the stove all day. Yummy! Even Bernie liked it! (our dog who doesn't know he's a dog.) We sent Brett back with to school with about a gallon!
Next week, we here at the station are getting our flu shots. I'll actually get mine right on the air during the show. I'm trying to convince Jon Summers to take one on the air with me. I usually get no reaction from the flu show..but I had a tetanus shot booster and YIKES! that one really made my arm sore and swollen. Well at least I won't get "lockjaw" for the next 10 years! Remember that? Everyone used to be worried about getting lockjaw. What exactly is lockjaw and do people still get it? I'll ask the next doctor we have on the show. I did have a blue-tongued skink on the show today--in fact on my shoulder! It was on with wildlife expert Jarod Miller. The skink was very friendly..he's been on my shoulder before! After the show I did a satelite with Susan Lucci. She's all about a new healthcare program warning people about atrial fibrillation. (Her hubby has it.) Anyway we had the chance to chat about how we're both still using "Youthful Essence".We did that infomercial 5 years ago! I told her it was time for an update..see how we're all looking 5 years later. Anyway, she's a peach! Tomorrow, I talk with Micheal Chiklis from his new ABC show, "No Ordinary Family". I just saw him on an old Seinfeld rerun. Maybe I'll ask him about that to you soon! Linda P.
