Next month I'll be 37 years old and I wanted to be in better shape in time for my next birthday. I've watched the infomercial for the Insanity workout program and decided to buy the Insanity: Asylum 30 Day Program. I'm going to blog about the journey over the next month, so here it goes...
Day 1 was the athletic performance assessment, it lasts about 25 minutes and it was tough. You do the assessment every 2 weeks to see how you progress so here's hoping for some improvements.
Day 2 was speed and agility, it lasts about 45 minutes and it's non-stop moving. You begin with 3 minutes of jump roping and you don't stop. I was sweaty for about an hour once the workout ended, my wife joked that I may never stop sweating and I was worried she may be right!
Day 3 was supposed to by the strength DVD but I played the Vertical Plyo one instead. This one was a lot of jumping and I think my knee is going feel this one tomorrow.
