On September 12, from 6:30-9:30, The Bristol Home will host our sixth annual event to raise awareness of the critical role we serve in caring for economically disadvantaged elderly women in this community. For over 145 years, The Bristol Home has quietly taken care of Western New York's low-income elderly, and is the only remaining non-profit assisted living facility in the City of Buffalo. The big blue house located on Main Street between Ferry and Utica plays an important role in caring for those in this community who can no longer live independently. It is only with the support of the community that we can fulfill our mission and continue to be one of the very few organizations in Western New York that accept and retain low-income elderly. Without our ability to subsidize the cost of their care, many of these economically disadvantaged elderly would have no choice but to move unnecessarily and prematurely into a nursing home. We can provide a setting with individualized care, promoting dignity and aging with grace. This fundraising event will be held at Bristol Village, 8455 Clarence Center Road, in Clarence Center. The goal of this event is to raise $50,000 to help us subsidize the cost of caring for our residents who can not afford to pay the full cost of their care. The event will feature excellent food, drinks, a basket raffle, and a silent raffle. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased by calling the Bristol Home at (716) 884-4371. Thank you for your support.
