As part of the Crisis! film series, the Burchfield Penney Art Center is screening Capitalism: A Love Story on April 17 at 6:00 p.m. Provocative filmmaker Michael Moore asks tough questions about how American corporations and financial institutions sacrifice the interests of working people in an endless pursuit of shareholder profits. After the film, expert commentators will discuss whether Moore is making a political statement or is an honest documentarian. The film series, which takes place on select Thursdays throughout the spring semester, uses classic and contemporary film and expert commentators to engage in the community in discussions about the global economic crisis.
