Women in Leadership Mission Statement
Wednesday, Nov 30 at 5:01 PM
WKBW-TV has partnered with NAWBO Buffalo Niagara to recognize area women business owners who have given back to the WNY community. Profilees will be established women business owners or professional/working women who have exhibited leadership, enterprise, and excellence in their business and given back to the Western New York and/or greater community with volunteer service. Honorees will be profiled in a monthly news piece on WKBW's Eyewitness News as well as included in an extended interview on AM Buffalo (weekdays at 10a). Honorees are chosen by NAWBO with priority given to women business owner candidates, organizations/efforts for women and would exclude those whose job function is community service oriented. The goal of the program is to both recognize those women who have succeeded both in the business and charitable arenas and inspire others to follow in their path.
A different woman will be honored every month (the last Monday of the Month generally) in a profile reported by Joanna Pasceri. The honoree will also appear the same week (as available) on AM Buffalo. The segments are available below. -
