Sweet potato fries, drizzled in maple syrup, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and topped with vanilla ice cream? Yes, please!

You can get this delicious dish at #GetFried Fry Cafe located at the Niagara Falls Fashion Outlets on 1900 Military Road.

Owner Chris Covelli started the now french fry franchise in Buffalo back in February 2015, after inspiration from our Canadian neighbors.

"I really got the concept from seeing similar concepts in Canada and in Europe, where they have fry cafes and poutine shops. And so we figured if we Americanized the concept and come up with a good name, it would do really well in the United States," said Covelli.

And it is! To date, the #GetFried team has sold 24 units nationally with 10 of them opening by the end of January 2018. The Fry Cafe has done so well, mobile carts are going all the way to Egypt!

"Since we first started the brand, we've had inquiries from the Middle East. The Middle East is a hotbed for emerging U.S. brands, so we had a group approach us from Cairo, Egypt...they tested two mobile carts over the summer, which were very well-received." Covelli said.

Though #GetFried is traveling to other cities like Dallas and San Francisco, the 716 will always be their stomping ground.

"Most importantly a lot of [our food is] Buffalo-themed, from our pizza logs and our crunch rolls, which are made locally, to our 716 basket, which is again Buffalo Chicken with Frank's Hot Sauce. So it's just a Buffalo brand through and through," said Covelli.

If you don't want to make the trip to Niagara Falls, you can find #GetFried's truck at Larkin Square on Food Truck Tuesdays!
